RIDECrowsnest Transit Bus- In celebration of Canada's 150th birthday, the CNP Municipal  Council is pleased to announce that RIDECrowsnest will be offered as a FREE service from March 1 to Aug 31, 2017.  RIDECrowsnest is a door-to-door bus service that enables everyone to get to their destination, including trips to the grocery store, the yoga studio, the movie theatre, wherever! 

RIDECrowsnest Schedule - 

Mondays  - Rec & Leisure Day - Open to anyone in any neighbourhood wanting to go to a recreations or leisure activity. Pick up starts at 9am in Coleman & continues ALL DAY.

Tuesdays - Picking up in Blaimore and Frank starting 915am. Last Drop off at 430pm.  Call the Municipal office by 845AM to book your trip for that day. (562-8833)

Wednesdays - Picking up in Hillcrest and Bellevue starting at 9am. Last drop off at 430pm. Call the municipal Office by 8:45am to book your trip for that day (562-8833)

Thursdays - Picking up from Coleman starting at 9am, last drop off around 430pm. Call the Municipal office by 8:45 to book your trip for that day. (562-8833)

Fridays - FLEX FRIDAYS! - Fridays are open to EVERYONE to go ANYWHERE. Pick up begin at 2pm.. final pick up at 9pm!  After 430pm on Fridays call the driver directly at 403-563-0040 to arrange your ride!

WALK ONS WELCOME - If you see the bus stopped when you are out and about and need a ride, just hop on!

Newly Renovated Alberta Provincial Police Barrack are OPEN! Looking for something to do this summer... head to Colman and check out the newly renovated APP Barracks. After lots of fundraising and sweat and tears, the Alberta Provincial Police Barracks are open for all to enjoy. The attention to detail for the exhibit is fabulous. Its a walk throught history... 100 years of prohibition and Rum Running in the Crowsnest Pass, and the great shootout between Picarillo and Constable lawson - Who Shot First?? You decide at the end of the tour!!!  The Barracks are open 9-5 everyday! For more information call the CN Museum 403-563- 5434

 

August 3rd - 7th - CNP Doors Open & Heritage Festival -  2017 marks the 12th anniversary of the Crowsnest Pass Doors Open & Heritage Festival!!! This is a celebration of our unique culture, history, and heritage.. and there are a variety of activities to help you expierence the beautiful Crowsnest Pass.  This years theme is LAWMEN OF PROHIBITION.. activities include Food Fest, Teddy Bears Picnic, Historical tours, walking tours, Family Fun poker Rally, Miners Picnic, Geocache Challenge, Show and Shine and so much more.

Events will take place at the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre, the CN Museum, Bellevue Undergound Mine, APP Barracks, Leitch Collieries, and the Crowsnest Public Art Gallery are all open all weekend long... with FREE ADMISSION!

August 4 - 6th  - Heritage Acres 30th Annual Show:  This August long weekend Heritage Acres invites you to thier 30th Annual Show!!  They will be celebtrating the Big Barn Grand opeing and Canada's 150th Birthday. Events will start Friday Aug 4th at 3pm. Admission is $15(17 and older) and FREE for 16 and under!!  Breakfast and concession on site. Dry camping avaliable for $10/night. Activties for the kids like, pedal tractors, rope making nail pounding, ice cream and MORE!!!  There will be demos and displays all weekend long. August 4th and 11 - FREE MOVIE IN THE PARK IN PINCHER CREEK! Celebrate summer with FREE movies in Central park in Pincher Creek. Please bring your own chair & non-perishable food item to be donated to the Pincher Creek Food Bank. The movies start at 9pm. This is a family friendly evet hosted by the Town of Pincher Creek. 

 August 10th and 11th - Music Camp Finale Concerts:  Music Camp is happening right now in the Crowsnest Pass. and August 10th and 11th the community is invited to the year end concerts. Thursday Aug 10 will be the Faculty Concert  and it starts at 7pm. Friday August 11 will be the Student Matinee concert at 1pm. Both performances take place at the Crownset Community Christian Centre. 

August 17th to 20 - Pincher Creek Pro Rodeo:  The Rodeo is IN TOWN!!!!!  Admission is $15/adults, Junior (6-16) $5, kids 5 & under are FREE! 

We kick things off Thursday August 17th with beer gardens and and concession opeing at 530 at teh AG grounds. then at 630pm its the Team Roping competition which is FREE for spectators. 

Friday starts wtih Kids Gymkahna at 10am. Beer gardens and concession opens at 530. The first RODEO PERFORMANCE is at 630 and its TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK DAY! 

Saturday beer gardends and concession open at 130pm. Rodeo at 2pm, Slack at 530 (free to watch), Dinner at the Ag Grounds at 530. and then Live music and Cabaret at the Horseshoe Pavillion with special guest Adam gregory (18+ ONLY)

Sunday we wrap up wtih Mutton Busting at 1215pm, Its Family Day at the Rodeo at 2pm.

August 18th - Childrens Festival in Pincher Creek: The Town Of Pincher Creek presnts  the 2017 Childrens Festical and Street Dance!!! Head to Central Park (Behind the Town Office) for DJ tunes, Bouncy Castle, Games, Petting Zoo, traditional games, a visit from the Fire Truck and MORE!!!  There will be food, snacks, and beverages avalable. At 9pm pull up your lane chair and watch the LEGO BATMAN movie under the stars!!! All activities are FREE!!! for more information call Kiera at the Rec Office 403-627-4322.
